back to washed
In the world of specialty coffee, Colombia is often celebrated for its innovation, particularly in fermentation techniques. However, these experimental and unconventional profiles represent only a very small fraction of the country’s coffee production. The majority of Colombian coffees are still fully washed in traditional wet mills.
We focus on showcasing clean, washed coffees while celebrating the rich variety of coffee varietals grown in the Huila region, including Pink Bourbon, Gesha, Papayo, Sidra, Chiroso, Caturra, Maragogipe, Tabi, and many others.
The producers we represent are smallholders of 3 hectares on average, who have little to no access to the specialty market. We accompany them into this market by providing them with constant feedback from our lab, making regular farm visits, connecting them with roasters for long term business relationships.
