At 33 years old, Rigo and Diana Chavarro are injecting new energy into the family coffee legacy. While the previous generation tended to prioritize high volumes of commercial coffee, they opt to cultivate smaller quantities with superior quality. They own two plots of land, each just 1/2 hectare, perched between 1800 and 1900 masl, and they are exclusively planted with pink bourbon.
Rigo also shares another family plot with his dad, where they grow catuai. He started experimenting with natural processing to lift the cup profile and diversify his offerings.
